history of Ambess
Prepaid
can be traced
back to the
early 1990’s,
when
Pamela S. Nelson,
CEO and Founder
placed her
first prepaid
phone
card vending
machine in
a small retail
location in
rural Pennsylvania.
The
objective was to
enable the retailer
to provide affordable
telecommunications
services that,
until then,
could not be purchased
at retail outlets.
Sales exploded
and Ambess would
soon
become a Master
Reseller of prepaid
telecom products and
services servicing
hundreds of locations
in the Mid-Atlantic.

emerges
Prepaid to serve your world In 1998,
Ambess became one of the first switchless resellers to offer prepaid
services on a wholesale/usage basis, enabling sub-distributors to run
their entire business - from facilities, to billing, to back office
- just as if they owned their own switch, with
no capital or back-office investment.
